1942 AFRIKAORPS TROPICAL HEADGEAR

This one is 2nd model with felt covering,with german eagle on the left side and natinal colours on the right.this example is in very good service used condition with all parts present and at least partly intact.the original olive/khaki felt covering is completly intact,although there is small deformation in dome.the helmet band which hides the attachment rivets for the chin strap and liner is in very good condition.the original chin strap is still intact and complete however remains in a delicate condition.the green leather trim aroun the brim is in poor condition.the interior of the helmet has the original green felt covering intact and the leather itself is very good condition.JHS on left side indicating J H SOFFEL a known maker of these caps.size 55 and 1942 date.nice addition to any german afrikakcorps collection.
